The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has announced their Mobile Food Distribution Dates for August for nearby counties, including Starke and La Porte.
In Starke County there will be Mobile Food Distributions:
Monday August 4th at Knox United Methodist Church, located at 201 South Shield Street in Knox, from 10am to 11:30am Central Time, while supplies last.
Friday August 29th at North Judson United Methodist Church, located at 210 Central Avenue in North Judson, from 9am to 10:30am Central Time, while supplies last.
For La Porte County there will be Mobile Food Distributions:
Wednesday August 13th at the Salvation Army in La Porte, located at 3240 Monroe, from 9am to 10:30am Central Time while supplies last. Also on this day at the Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church, located at 3444 U.S. 20 in Rolling Prairie from 10am to noon Central Time while supplies last.
Wednesday August 20th at the First Church of God, located at 2020 East Lincolnway in LaPorte, from 10am to 11:30am Central Time, while supplies last.
At these mobile food distribution events, assorted food items are offered free of charge. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged, with a limit of one box/bag per household.
These events are drive-through events meaning you should remain in your vehicle and open your trunk to receive items. There will be an area available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
These distributions are sponsored by Citizens Concerned for the Homeless, Indiana OCRA, and the USDA.
