Starke County Local Emergency Planning Committee to Meet July 21

The Starke County Local Emergency Planning Committee will be holding a regular meeting this upcoming Monday, July 21st.

The meeting will be held at 1:30pm Central Time, and will be at 53 East Mound Street in Knox, at the Annex 1 building Meeting Room. This meeting is open to the public.

After the welcome, pledge of allegiance, roll call, and approval of previous minutes, the emergency planning committee will visit Old Business.

Under the Old Business section of the agenda, LEPC will receive a Communications Committee update, weather and disaster updates, training updates, and tier II and LEPC updates. They will also discuss festival and other training and exercise activities in 2025.

Under the New Business section of the agenda, the LEPC will discuss Exercise Planning for 2025. They will also review membership against Indiana Code 13-25-1-6, and discuss anything else that may come before them at that time.

Following will be updates from ESF and Stakeholders, as well as updates from Fire, EMS, Police, Highway, the Health Department, and any other updates. Following a final update from EMA Director Chessor and a roundtable discussion, the meeting will be adjourned. The next meeting of the Local Emergency Planning Committee will be held October 20th.
