Winamac Town Council to Meet July 14

Winamac Town Council will hold a regular meeting this evening, July 14th, at 6pm Eastern Time.

The meeting will be held at Winamac Utilities Complex, which is located at 623 West 11th Street. This meeting is open to the public.

After the call to order and pledge of allegiance, there will be a section of the meeting dedicated to input from the public. During this time, Amber Nielsen will speak about Baker Tilly Rates.

Following the public input section of the meeting will be administrative matters. Council will vote on the approval of minutes from their last regular meeting. They will vote on 4 different claims, and receive reports from town superintendents, including a report from Water and Street Superintendent Jeremy Beckner and Electric Superintendent Doug Shorter, as well as Jake Buckman from Wastewater and Branson Eber from Police.

After that will be the Town Manager’s Report, including the discussion of 2 ordinances: Ordinance #14 amending the fee schedule and rules and regulations for the cemetery for the town of Winamac, and Ordinance #15 authorizing the advance payment of certain expenses for the town.

Next there will be discussion on fire contracts and territory, downtown sidewalks, and mowing and nuisance letters.

The Clerk-Treasurer’s Report will be next, including discussion on Ordinance #13, adopting the County Economic Development Income Tax Capital Improvement Plan for Winamac.
