
Winamac Volunteer Fire Department shared recently that on August 15th at around 3:10pm Eastern Time, they were called to Riverside and East 13th street for a vehicle accident with several vehicles involved.
Pulaski deputies and Winamac police arrived on scene to find 3 vehicles involved and 3 adult patients. They arrived on scene along with Pulaski EMS. Police and fire shut down the west and south side of that intersection. Working through the patients, with no severe or life threatening injuries reported.
While processing the scene, another vehicle accident occurred at 13th St and Monticello St. The immediate intersection to the west of the ongoing scene.
Responders from the first incident broke away to check on the now second incident.
This time, 4 vehicles involved, with 8 total patients.
Winamac Volunteer Fire Department reports that for a brief period of time, Monticello Street was closed down until it could be opened for a single lane of traffic.
The second incident involved both adults and minors. Again, after evaluations, no severe or life threatening injuries reported.
Agencies involved in assisting the two accidents were the Winamac Police Department, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Pulaski County EMS, and Winamac Volunteer Fire Department.
