The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has added two Michigan City distributions to take place in the last few weeks of this month, with the first one taking place this Thursday August 21st, and the second taking place Saturday August 30th. Both are in Michigan City.
The added Thursday, August 21st food distribution will take place at High Praise Outreach Ministries from 11:30am Central Time until supplies last, located at 301 East 9th Street in Michigan City. The distribution is sponsored by the City of Michigan City and will serve 150 households, first come first served.
The added Saturday, August 30th food distribution will take place from 10-11:30am Central Time until supplies last. It will take place at the Michigan City YMCA located at 1202 Spring Street. This distribution is also sponsored by the City of Michigan City and will serve 250 households.
All items at these events are pre-boxed and pre-bagged, with a limit of one box or bag per household.
These distributions are drive-through and attendees are reminded to stay in their vehicles and open your trunk to receive your items. There will be a separate self-loading area for those whose trunk doesn’t open.
