This upcoming Tuesday, August 26th, the Knox City Council will hold an Executive Session followed by a regular Council Meeting.
The Executive Session is not open to the public. It is to be held at 4:30pm at Knox City Hall, and the purpose of the Executive Session falls under the Indiana Code for collective bargaining.
In addition to the authorized officers, the City Attorney will be admitted to the session as they are necessary or desirable to carry out the purpose of the Executive Session. A memorandum certifying to the meeting and that the deliberation and discussion in the meeting was limited only to the matter listed above, signed by the proper officers of the City will be available following the Executive Session for public inspection.
Following the Executive Meeting, the Knox City Council will hold their regular meeting beginning at 5pm at Knox City Hall. Unlike the Executive Session, the Council Meeting is open to the public.
The meeting will be called to order and any amendments to the agenda will be made. After the approval of the minutes from their August 12th meeting and a section for citizen’s comments, the Council will hear a funding request for a city and school promotional video, as well as a funding request from Knox Main Street United.
Council will hear the Clerk-Treasurer’s Report, a report from the mayor, as well as any other council items. Following the signing of vouchers, the meeting will be adjourned.
