Knox Mayor Estok Shares Report from City Council Meeting

Mayor Dennis Estok recently shared a report at the August 12th Knox City Council meeting.

In his report, Mayor Estok talked about Phase 2 of the Sunnyside Estates Subdivision project, stating that the bids will be opened at the Redevelopment Commission meeting to be held on August 20th, for 24 lots in Sunnyside Estates. Two bid offering packets have already been distributed to interested home builders at the time of the report.

In regards to next year’s July 4th fireworks show, Mayor Estok informed the council that there are two options for the 2026 show: Either Saturday, June 27th, or Saturday July 4th. The council decided to hold Knox’s Family Fun day and Fireworks show on June 27th, with the 4th of July parade to be held that day as well.

Finally, the mayor reported that a new app called “Discover Knox” will be available for users to download from the app store beginning on August 20th of this year. This app will give users the opportunity to view city events, receive notices regarding city issues, and also access links to other community information sites.
