An initiative to restore the Medaryville High School Gym in Pulaski County has announced that they are at a point in their process where community involvement is needed.

Friends of the Medaryville Gymnasium aims to preserve the Medaryville High School Gym and transform it into a recreation and event space in Medaryville. They are applying for a Planning Grant as part of the plan to make that happen, and on Friday of last week they announced that part of applying for that grant involves getting letters of support from local residents.

The announcement states that someone submitting a letter doesn’t need to live in Medaryville, just that they need to care about the success of the project.

According to the announcement, any such letters stating a citizen’s support, how they think the project will help the community, any unmet needs it will provide for, or etc. can be sent to ejgross@kirpc.net, mfederer86@gmail.com, or mailed to PO Box 213 Medaryville, Indiana 47957. The period to submit letters is from now until Mid October.
