The Starke County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind us that National Night Out is this upcoming Tuesday, August 5th from 5-7pm Central Time at the Starke County Justice Center at 5435 East State Road 8 in Knox.
The community is invited to celebrate this event with games, food, raffles, and fun. Each attendee can get two free tacos, courtesy of Darlene’s Taste of Texas.
There will be adoptable pets on hand from the Starke County Humane Society, as well as opportunities to support them while playing games and winning prizes.
All proceeds from the Dunk-a-Cop tank will be going to the Humane Society, and there will be a raffle. To enter, bring a donation for the Humane Society. Items needed include monetary donations to cover vet bills, kitty litter, kitten food, cleaning supplies such as bleach, Fabuloso, dawn dish soap, paper towels, 13- or 55- gallon trash bags, and wash cloths; and other pet-related items such as dog and cat food, treats, and new or gently used collars and leashes.
