North Judson Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department reports that on Monday evening, August 18th, they were dispatched to an attached garage fire.
On arrival, the Fire Department found no active fire but damage from what they described as a ‘decent-sized fire’ was visible, along with smoke coming from the garage and attic of the structure.
Upon further investigation, North Judson Wayne Township Fire Department learned that neighbors had heard the fire start and immediately went to work, attacking the fire with multiple fire extinguishers and a garden hose. As a result, the fire was extinguished before firefighters’ arrival.
Firefighters congratulated the neighbors on their excellent work.
