According to our reporting partners at WNDU, after a semi crashed and caught fire on I-94 earlier today, two people have been taken to the hospital. The crash took place in LaPorte County.
According to the Indiana State Police, the semi crashed into the median before bursting into flames.
No word on the conditions of the injured parties at this time, who have been identified as the driver and passenger of the semi truck.
It’s unclear if there were any other vehicles involved in this crash.
Officials say the westbound lanes of I-94 are still closed but the eastbound lanes are back open.
