Starke County Historical Society Accepting Registrations for 1st Annual Teddy Bear Camp

Shared by Starke County Historical Society

The Starke County Historical Society is currently accepting registrations for their Teddy Bear camp. The announcement from the Historical Society states:

It’s been a busy summer for stuffed animal friends. Now that vacation is over, send them to a teddy bear camp so they can relax and have time with other stuffies since their owners are back in school.

The Starke County Historical Society is hosting its first annual Teddy Bear Camp September 18 – 22. Camp is available for teddy bears and other stuffies belonging to children in Kindergarten to 4th grade that would like to learn more about Starke County History.

During the camp, the stuffies will visit a variety of historic locations around Starke County to learn about history. All stuffies and their owners will receive a “Starke County Junior Historian” certificate. There will be daily updates on the campers on the Starke County Historical Society’s Facebook page.

Teddy Bear Camp is free. Please only one stuffed animal per child. Additionally, they ask that kids not send fragile or priceless stuffed animals to Teddy Bear Camp.

Those wishing to register can find an online registration form at starkehistory.org/teddy-bear-camp. Click Download File on that page, complete it as a PDF, and e-mail it to the Starke County Historical Society at schistorycenter.gmail.com. If e-mail is not available to you, forms may be mailed or taken to the History Center at 1520 South Heaton Street in Knox.

Completed registration forms are due no later than Friday, September 5th. There are 75 spots available and you will be notified when your stuffed animal is enrolled.
