According to Kankakee Valley REMC, three Starke County local high school juniors were recently able to travel to Washington D.C. as part of the Indiana Electric Cooperative Youth Tour.
The Youth Tour takes place each June, when the state’s electric cooperatives sponsor a group of high school students entering their senior year to visit Washington D.C. Students on the trip visit historic monuments and museums, attend meetings with Indiana’s congressional delegation on Capitol Hill, and more.
Londyn Connelly, homeschooled; and Knox High School students Ella Dollahan and Adelynn Radtke represented Kankakee Valley REMC on the trip and experienced all the sights of our nation’s capital.
REMC extended congratulations to the students for being selected and representing the cooperative and the community.
REMC further reports that there will be an article about the Washington, D.C. trip in this month’s Indiana Connection magazine.
