The Knox Parks and Recreation Board will hold their monthly board meeting today, Monday September 22nd, at 5:30pm Central Time.
The meeting will take place at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center in Knox.
The Board meeting is open to the public; however, there will be an Executive Session held before the Board meeting that is not open to the public; where the Board will discuss employees. That session is scheduled from 5:00 – 5:30 PM.
When the public board meeting is called to order at 5:30pm, the board will consider the approval of the minutes from their August 25th meeting.
There will be a section for public comment, as well as a presentation of financials.
Under the New Business section of the agenda, the Park Board will discuss the placement of two zip lines. They will discuss an employee resignation, as well as suggestions for new serving tables if the budget allows.
The board will discuss who would empty out garbage cans in the parks if they were left out during the winter, and whether or not food trucks are paying a fee when they are at the park.
The Park Board will hear the Superintendent’s report as well as any other board member’s comments before adjourning the meeting. The next regular meeting of the Knox Parks and Recreation Board will be October 27th.
