According to preliminary information, a local man who was reported missing on Sunday has been found, deceased.
Circulating social media posts originally reported that Marvin “Dan” Daniel Rudd, was last seen in Knox around 3:30am on September 21st driving a 2024 Kia Forte GT Line, along with including a physical description and instructions to call the police department or a local number, possibly belonging to a relative or friend of Rudd’s.
Friends and family met on Tuesday morning at Wythogan Park in Knox to coordinate their search efforts.
Rudd’s vehicle was reportedly discovered Wednesday after witnesses saw tracks leading off of a roadway. Witness reports indicate it appeared the vehicle may have missed a curve and struck a tree.
According to posts on social media, Rudd’s family wished to express profound gratitude for all of the assistance offered by the community.
