The Pulaski County Council will meet today, Monday, September 8, at 6pm Eastern Time at the Pulaski County Courthouse. The Pulaski County Courthouse is at 112 E Main Street in Winamac.
During the meeting the council will vote on the approval of minutes from their July 14th and August 11th meetings.
Presentations on the agenda include from EMS Director Natasha Daugherty on additional funding and transfers, Sheriff Chris Schramm on the subject of departmental transfers, and Community Development Commission Director Nathan Origer about a resolution for the Mammoth Grazing/Pastures Solar Project. Auditor Teresa Bryant will also present the Van Buren Township budget and an ordinance for Meridian Street. The meeting will also contain a budget hearing.
During the meeting, council members will consider transfers:
- Sheriff’s Department: $5,000 from equipment repair to schools/seminars; $2,896.01 from refund/reimbursement to equipment repair; $16,582.70 from reimbursement to equipment repair.
- EMS: $10,000 from education to pest control, rent, training, and patient care.
- EMA: $2,000 from overtime to part-time help.
The council will also discuss 2026 budgets, any other board business, and hear public comment.
The next Pulaski County commissioners meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 15 at 8:30am Eastern Time. The next Pulaski Council meeting will be Monday, October 13 at 6 p.m., preceded by a joint session at 5pm. The public is invited to all the aforementioned meetings.
