Vendors and Artists Wanted for 2026 Arbor Day Celebration

A reminder from the Starke County Arbor Day Committee; they are in the process of planning their 2026 Arbor Day celebration. The celebration is to take place at the Starke County Forest, and the Committee would like to showcase local talent and resources in our community.

The committee has announced that they are inviting community members to set up tables or booths in order to share information, resources, and activities with guests of the upcoming Arbor Day celebration. Examples of vendors welcome include Master Gardeners, beekeepers or pollinator educators, composting demonstrators, wildlife and birding organizations, and more.

The Arbor Day Committee would also like to highlight local vendors, artisans, and artists who create nature-inspired items. Examples include locally made honey, jams, syrups, or baked goods; handmade wooden crafts and eco-conscious products such as beeswax, natural soaps, reusable bags; and nature photographers, just to name a few.

The Committee would also like to feature a chainsaw artist or wood carver at this event, who is willing to give a live demonstration of their talents while showcasing and selling their creations.

Those wanting to participate, share their skills, or showcase their creations should reach out to the Starke County Arbor Day Committee through the Starke County Surveyor’s Office, at 574-772-9135.
