The Pulaski County Public Library will be helping community members experience a part of American history when The American Revolution Experience, a traveling exhibit, opens on October 28th.
This interactive display will remain on view through November 8, and offers a free, hands-on journey learning about the people and places that shaped America’s fight for independence. Rather than focusing solely on famous generals and statesmen, The American Revolution Experience introduces visitors to drummer boys, mapmakers, and other everyday people whose lives were changed by the struggle for independence.
The exhibit is being hosted as a result of a collaboration between the Metamonong Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Pulaski County America 250 Committee, and the Pulaski County Public Library. The traveling exhibit was created by the American Battlefield Trust and the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, with support from the National Park Service’s American Battlefield Protection Program.
Handouts will also be available to help guide visitors through the experience.
Visitors can see the exhibit during regular library hours at 121 S. Riverside Drive in Winamac. Hours for the display are as follows:

November 5, 12:30pm – 6pm

November 8, 9am – 1pm
