
MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WNDU) – According to our reporting partners at WNDU, a boy is in custody after police say two adults were found dead in a Michigan City home early Sunday morning.
Police say it all started just after 1 a.m. when LaPorte County deputies were called to a crash at the intersection of Johnson Road and County Road West 300 North.
After arriving on scene, police say they learned a boy involved in the crash investigation was a suspect in a double homicide at a home on Schofield Court in Michigan City.
Police say officers were immediately sent to that home for a welfare check, where they found two dead adults inside. Neither of them have been identified yet.
Police say a boy was taken into custody and criminal charges are pending. They have not released his age or identity yet.
The incident remains investigation, but police say there is no threat to the public.
