Knox Mayor Dennis Estok has announced that Knox’s hometown Christmas Peppermint Parade is quickly approaching, and entry forms are now being accepted.
The parade will take place Saturday, December 6th, at 4pm Central Time in Knox. Line-up will begin at 3:30pm. The deadline to submit an entry form is Wednesday, November 26th. There is no entry fee to join the parade, but late entries will not be accepted.
The parade route this year will remain the same, except it will end at the Community Center rather than at Wythogan Park.
The city asks that parade entrants be mindful of gaps between units, stating there cannot be more than 25 feet between, and noting that parade officials will be on hand to help close these gaps. There will be a reviewing stand stationed at Lake and Main Street, where parade entries will be judged. All entries must be decorated.
The announcement further states that all performances and acts or demonstrations must be able to be accomplished while moving forward, no exceptions and no stopping for performances.
Completed applications for the parade should be mailed to the Knox Mayor’s Office at 101 West Washington Street, Knox Indiana, 46534.
