The Knox Community School Corporation has announced that their board will hold an executive session followed by a regular board meeting this upcoming Monday, October 6th.
The Executive Session will begin at 5pm Central Time, and is not open to the public. In accordance with Indiana codes, it has been shared that the subject of this meeting will be Collective bargaining.
The regular school board meeting will begin at 6pm Central Time, and is open to the public.
After the call to order, pledge of allegiance, and the recital of the corporation mission statement, the board will vote to adopt the agenda for the meeting. They will also vote to approve the minutes from their September 8th regular board meeting.
There will then be a section of the meeting dedicated to public comments on any agenda item.
The champion moment featured at this meeting will be the Knox Middle School PTO and their upcoming Fundraiser Request.
The board will receive updates from the Special Education Director and all building principals on their respective buildings.
The Board will review two personnel resignations, two new hires, one transfer, and 8 Extracurricular appointments.
Under the Business section of the meeting, there will be a public hearing held on the 2026 budgets for All Funds, the Capital Projects Fund Plan, and the Bus Replacement Fund Plan.
During the public hearing the Chair will entertain a motion for the board to meet on Monday, October 20th to consider the proposed budgets and levies for adoption.
The Superintendent will recommend the Board approve claims, will deliver an update on the construction project, and recommend that the Board approve 5 donations, including five dollies donated by Tractor Supply to be used for transporting the Corporation emergency kits.
The Board will discuss the approval of upcoming fundraisers, including a Halloween dance at the middle school, a recycling project from October through May, and the Knox High School Student Council Fishbowl Fundraiser.
There will be a section of the meeting dedicated to public comments on items not on the agenda, as well as comments or questions from administrators and the board, before the meeting is adjourned.
The next Board meeting will be on Monday, October 20th at 6pm Central Time.
