The Knox Parks and Recreation board recently shared the minutes from their September 22nd meeting. The minutes were shared as follows:

Attendance:
Board Members Present: Gary Dulin, Nathan Bradley, Lucy Rizzo, Ruth Bailey
Board Members Not Present: Lora Estok, Glenn Barnes
Others Present: Mike
Approval of Minutes from August.
• Motion to approve: Nathan Bradley Second: Lucy Rizzo. All in favor.
Public Comment
Community members asked if public comments can be moved further down in the agenda so they can see if there is anything they would like to comment on. This was agreed to.
Financial Reports Reviewed, no questions.
New Business:
• The area for the small zip line was agreed on at Sandy Acres. Large on still undecided. Mayor Dennis would like this completed ASAP. He wants the equipment moved from the property it is now on. He requested we look into hiring a company to install them.
• Bobby Trusty resignation was approved. Motion to approve Nathan Bradley, Second: Ruth Bailey. All in favor. His last day was Sept. 26.
• Serving tables in the shelters Gary to look into the price for new ones and determine if it is in the budget
• Request for leaving 3 garbage cans out during the winter. 1 in the parking lot, 1 by shelter 1 and the other along the walking trail. We need to have someone to empty them.
• When food trucks are at the park if they do not pay a fee can we pro-rate what Bobby is charged on the concession stand? Nathan to ask the Mayor about this.
• Mike will receive a pay increase to $15.97 per hour. Motion to approve: Ruth Bailey, Second: Nathan Bradley. All in favor.

Board Member Comments
Ruth Bailey mentioned she was disappointed that flags were not lowered for Charlie Kirk then with discussion it was discovered it was not lowered for Nancy Dembowski either. Communication needs to be better on this.
Mike will be plowing in the winter on walking paths.
Lucy Rizzo asked if employees are ever given evaluations. Maybe something we need to start doing.
