
As temperatures begin to dip, the Moving Starke County Forward (MSCF) health coalition is
hosting a blanket drive to help local people in need stay warm this fall and winter.
The MSCF Blanket Drive runs from Sunday, October 26 through Sunday, November 9. New
or gently used blankets and sleeping bags can be donated at several sites throughout the
county.

Bailey’s Discount Center
Community Services of Starke County
Knox HealthLinc
Knox-Winamac Community Health Center
Heartland Church of Knox
Knox United Methodist Church
North Judson United Methodist Church
Heartland Christian Center of North Judson
Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church
Starke County Health Department
Starke County Resource Center
Other businesses, organizations, or churches interested in assisting with these efforts are
welcome to do personal collections and drop their items off at any of the sites mentioned
above.
Representatives from the Starke County Resource center have volunteered to launder all
collected blankets to ensure they’re clean before being distributed.
Moving Starke County Forward is a local health coalition that has been active for over a
decade. The group is made up of representatives from various organizations who work
together with members of the community to move the county in a healthy and positive
