During the month of October, the North Judson Library has been collecting recipes to make a historical cookbook in celebration of National Cookbook Month.
The library is asking community members to stop by the North Judson Library through October 25th, that’s this Saturday, with their favorite old-fashioned recipe. The recipes shared will be put into the historic cookbook for the country’s 250th anniversary. Recipes may also be shared with the Starke County Historical Society via e-mail, at schistorycenter@gmail.com, and they will forward the recipe to the library for you.
The historical recipe book will be available for free on October 27th, for those who bring in a recipe; and available for purchase for $3 for everyone else.
The library asks that submitted recipes be legible and dated if possible. Recipes can be sweet or savory, and can include a short story or tidbit about how the recipe came to be.
