LA PORTE – According to the city of La Porte, beginning today, Wednesday, Oct. 1, portions of Weller Avenue and Craven Drive will be closed for utility work.
Later this fall, following the completion of Weller and Craven, Lake Shore Drive will also be closed for construction. Work will continue into November.
The City states that those wanting access to the Stone Lake boat ramp or Lions Field should follow the recommended detour and enter the park off Orchard Avenue.
The city would like to thank citizens for their patience as crews work on this project.
