The Starke County Surveyor’s Office made an announcement recently, stating that they had received a question in regards to the compliance of their drone operations with both federal and local regulations.
The announcement states that the Surveyor’s Office confirms that all FAA and county requirements have been fully met for their drone operation. They state that the drone is a valuable tool that enhances their ability to inspect regulated ditches, document conditions, identify maintenance needs, and capture accurate imagery that supports effective decision-making and transparency.
The Surveyor’s Office said they look forward to sharing both aerial photos and project updates highlighting the work being done to maintain and protect Starke County’s drainage systems.
