According to an announcement from Starke County Emergency Management, the Starke County mass communication system, TextMyGov, is live. At the end of September, those who were registered received a “Welcome” message from the system.
Those who would like to begin receiving important alerts from the county via text message can send the text STARKECO to 80946 to subscribe.
Additionally, the service may be opted out of anytime after signing up by replying STOP to any message received by the system.
Starke County Emergency Management would like to note that this service is not spam, and will be used to communicate critical information such as emergency notifications, severe weather alerts, and other essential updates for residents.
