KNOX – Community Services of Starke County continues their week-long radiothon this week; reaching out to the community to help them continue to serve our area in the many ways they do.

Two of the services that are offered include congregate meals in both Knox and North Judson, and call-a-day services.
According to Community Services’ website, hot nutritious meals are served 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, to seniors aged 60 and over, with a minimum donation of $3 appreciated.
Meals are served at noon central time at 311 Est Culver Road in Knox, and at the North Judson Senior Center at 105 East Talmer Avenue.
To reserve meals in Knox, call 574-772-6411 between 9am and 3pm Central Time. To reserve meals in North Judson, call 574-896-3665 between 9am and 1pm.
Meals should be arranged ahead of time, at least 2 weeks in advance so caterers can prepare accurately.
Additionally, community luncheons are now being held at Community Services of Starke County every Wednesday from 11am to 1pm Central. The meals are for everyone in the community. Please call ahead to reserve your meal at 574-772-7070. They do accept free-will donations for the community luncheon.
Another service offered by Community Services of Starke County is a call-a-day service. This is a program that includes a daily telephone check for individuals who live alone. Referrals to this program are made to Lifeline, an emergency response system.
