Knox Board of Works to meet November 26

The Knox Board of Public Works will hold a meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, November 26th.

The meeting will begin at 9:30am Central Time, and will be held at Knox City Hall, located at 101 West Washington Street in Knox. The meeting’s agenda opens with an amendment to the agenda and approval of previous meetings’ minutes, followed by reports from the Superintendent.

One of the items on this agenda is a bid opening for a sewer and water extension project on US Highway 35. Board members will also consider accepting a proposal for 10-inch sewer lining work, after previous bids were rejected last month for exceeding state bidding thresholds.

Board members will review and vote on the approval of both the 2026 Board of Works meeting schedule, as well as the 2026 city holiday schedule.

A large portion of the agenda for this meeting focuses on property reviews. Board members will review properties on Main Street, Lake Street, and Potter Street. Reviews are also on the agenda for properties on McGill, Locust, and John streets.

Some of these properties were discussed in October’s meeting, including a residence on Potter where the owner was given until this month to resolve violations, and a property on Lake Street, where cleanup and the securing of a structure was ordered.

After any other final property updates, the meeting will be adjourned.

The public is invited to attend this meeting.
