The Koontz Lake Association has announced two upcoming community events for the winter holidays.
On Sunday, November 23rd, the Koontz Lake Association will host A Grateful Gathering, a Thanksgiving celebration. There will be a free traditional Thanksgiving meal for all who attend from noon to 3pm Central Time at the Koontz Lake Clubhouse. The Clubhouse is located at 10896 East Cherokee Road in Walkerton.
Additionally, in December, the Koontz Lake Association will host their annual Christmas tree lighting.
The tree lighting will take place on December 6th at 5pm Central Time at the Koontz Lake Fire Department, located at 7784 North Highway 23 in Walkerton.
The tree decorating begins at 5pm, with the official lighting to take place at 5:30pm. The event will offer hot cocoa, cookies, and candy to attendees; as well as a special ornament for each guest to take home. Santa will also be on hand for holiday photos.
The community is invited to attend these two holiday events by Koontz Lake Association.
