PULASKI COUNTY – The Medaryville White Post Volunteer Fire Department announced last week that they are pursuing a grant in order to build a new fire station in order to allow them to better serve and protect residents.
The announcement states that a modern facility will provide their firefighters with the space, resources, and updated equipment they need to respond quickly and effectively during emergencies.
They are asking members of the public to write letters of support, sharing how a new fire station would have a positive impact on the community; whether by improving response times, enhancing safety, or strengthening overall emergency services.
The letters can be emailed to whiteposttownship@gmail.com, or can be mailed to White Post Township, PO Box 245, Medaryville Indiana, 47957.
The post states that community members’ words of encouragement and support can make a meaningful difference in helping to secure the funding for the fire station.
Additionally, there is a short survey available online that residents are being asked to fill out. The survey asks whether a new fire station is needed, any concerns about the current fire station, and asks if the survey taker would support Pulaski County applying for a grant to help fund the construction of a new fire station.
The survey can be found here.
