PULASKI COUNTY – According to an announcement from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, another successful round of the JCAP program has wrapped up in Winamac.

JCAP stands for Jail Chemical Addiction Program, and they recently celebrated 25 inmates who completed an 11-week course in financial literacy. This course was a result of a partnership between the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and First Federal Savings Bank.

Members of the First Federal banking staff led the sessions, helping participants learn valuable money management skills with the goal of supporting their success after their release.

The program was taught by First Federal Winamac branch staffers Steffani Gehrke and Miranda Wilson, Andrea Eggleston from the Plymouth branch, and Navigator of Pulaski County, Katie Surma.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office ended their announcement by congratulating the 25 graduates and thanking everyone who helped make this program a success.
