The Winamac Town Council will hold a public hearing followed by a regular meeting tonight, Monday, November 10th.
The public hearing will begin at 6pm Eastern Time, with the council meeting to follow immediately after. Both meetings will take place at the Winamac Utilities Complex, which is located at 623 West 11th Street.
The hearing will begin with a section for citizen’s comments on a proposed ordinance establishing new sewage rates and charges. These new rates are an update from rates established in 2016.
After the public hearing is held and called to a close, the regular council meeting will begin with the Pledge of Allegiance and the approval of administrative items such as the minutes from the councilor’s October 13th meeting, payroll dockets, and November vouchers.
Councilors will receive updates and reports will from water, street, electric, wastewater, and police superintendents. Winamac Town Manager will discuss holiday bonuses and downtown sidewalk improvements, and the Clerk-Treasurer will revisit the proposed sewer rate ordinance.
Under the old business section of the agenda, the council will continue discussion on the town’s golf cart and UTV ordinances.
There are no items under the new business section of the agenda. If no other matters come before the Town Council, the meeting will be adjourned.
