NORTH JUDSON – According to an announcement recently shared by North Judson – San Pierre Junior Senior High School, three of their students recently attended an event called DECA Districts.
DECA, previously standing for Distributive Education Clubs of America, is a student organization that aims to help high school and college students prepare for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management; through real-world experiences and competitions.
Three students attended this competitive event and represented North Judson: Tyler Campbell, Abby Lambert, and Cole Trent.
Both Lambert and Trent placed at the competition, with Lambert earning 3rd place in Marketing Communications and Trent getting 2nd in Personal Finance.
The announcement states that due to these placings, both Lambert and Trent have qualified for the DECA State Competition, which is scheduled to take place in March.
