On Friday, November 28th, the North Judson Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department shared that they responded to a house fire in the morning.
Upon arrival at the scene, members located an active fire on the mantel and trim work around a gas log fireplace inside the home. The involved area and materials were extinguished, and relevant portions were removed from the home.
While some units were called off before arrival on the scene, the North Judson Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department shared that the call was also responded to by San Pierre Volunteer Fire Department, Knox Center Township Fire Department, North Judson Police Department, and Starke County EMS. There were no reported injuries.
