Pulaski County to hold public forum this morning, December 15, in regards to ADA compliance

According to the Pulaski County government, there will be a public forum to be held this morning, December 15, at 10:30am Eastern Time.


The meeting will be held in the Commissioner’s meeting room of the Pulaski County Courthouse, which is located at 112 East Main Street in Winamac.

This public form will be in regards to the Americans with Disabilities Act; stating that the Commissioners have ordered accessibility compliance evaluations to be completed on county owned and leased properties, programs, services, and activities.

The Commissioners, ADA Coordinator, and ADA Consulting of Indiana are seeking the public’s input and feedback regarding the current accessibility in and around the county.

According to the announcement, discussion topics at this meeting will include:

  • Transition Planning
  • Existing Architectural (Physical) Barriers in County Owned/Leased facilities
  • Communication barriers/barriers to accessing programs and services offered by the county
  • Public Input

The public is invited to attend and give input on ways Pulaski County can improve accessibility.
