Kankakee Valley REMC recently shared that the 2026 Cooperative Student Art Contest is currently accepting student submissions.
This annual art contest is open to all students from Kindergarten through 12th grade during the 2025-2026 school year; and is open to public, private, and home-schooled students.
A student wishing to enter the contest should match their current grade with their corresponding month:
1st graders should illustrate January, 2nd graders February, 3rd graders March, and so on. Kindergarten students can illustrate any subject, season, or event of their choosing for the contest.
A first place artist will be chosen from each grade, from K-12, and each of those artists will win $100. Additional artists will be chosen for honorable mention awards, and will win $50 each.
There will also be an “Artist of the Year” chosen from among the first place winners for the Best of Show, and they will win an additional $100.
