Winamac Town Council to meet December 8

Winamac Town Council will hold a public hearing and a regular meeting this evening, Monday December 8th, at 6pm Eastern Time.

The meeting will be held at the Winamac Utilities Complex building, located at 623 West 11th Street in Winamac.

The meeting will begin with a public hearing on the Master Utility Plan. The public is invited during this time to share their comments on the Master Utility Plan.

After the public hearing, the regular council meeting will begin. Councilors will discuss and vote on a resolution in regards to the Master Utility Plan, as well as approve the minutes from their November 10th public hearing and regular meeting.

After the approval of claims, payroll, and vouchers, the councilors will hear several reports.

Updates will be received from the Water & Street Superintendents, Electric Superintendent, as well as Wastewater and Police.

The Town manager will also give a report with several talking points, including insurance, an ordinance, and a proposal in regards to sick and personal days. The town manager will also discuss the Sidewalks Community Crossings Matching Grant Program, as well as appointments.

There will be a report from the Clerk-Treasurer that includes discussion on fire equipment donations, as well as a 3rd Quarter 2025 finance packet from Baker Tilly. The Clerk-Treasurer’s report also goes over water & wastewater adjustments, as well as 2026 disconnect dates.

Under Old Business, the council will discuss UTVs, and under New Business, they will discuss an agreement for attorney services before adjourning the meeting.
