Community Services of Starke County shares service statistics

Community Services of Starke County has released statistics on the services the non-profit organization has provided across Starke County and other nearby areas.

These statistics were shared at the Community Services’ annual meeting, which was held December 18th.

Community Services provided 6,090 trips for 957 people; or 73,170 passenger miles from January first through November 30th of 2025. Of those trips, there were 2,457 Title III trips.

Community Services of Starke County offers a health equipment loan program at no cost to the client. Approximately 3,351 people have been served, with 137,149 units (days) of service provided.

The Community Services Food Pantry has helped 4,286 people through November 30th, 2025; or 1,617 different families, with food boxes. They serve an average of 147 families per month. They have received 31,296 pounds of food donations, and have distributed a total of 68,985 pounds of food.

Additionally, the Hope for the Holidays program coordinated Christmas giving for over 500 children.

The announcement with the statistics also noted appreciation for volunteers and staff members who help coordinate various services for the organization, and reminded citizens about its Energy Assistance Program, which began on November 1st of 2025. Applicants for the Energy Assistance program can pick up applications at Community Services, located at 311 East Culver Road in Knox and at 105 East Talmer in Judson.
