This week, the Indiana Department of Education shared information stating that Indiana’s class of 2025 marks the third consecutive year of improved graduation rates.
The state saw 92% of Indiana seniors graduating high school in 2025, which is 1.6% more than from the class of 2024 and also sets a new state record.
Knox High School shared on Wednesday that their graduating class of 2025 had a 97.58% graduation rate; surpassing the state average.
According to the IDOE press release, the state’s second-highest graduation rate in Indiana was in 2024, at 90.23%.
Across Indiana, graduation rates increased for every student population, including across every race, those in special education, English learners, and students receiving free and reduced price meals.
Indiana’s Secretary of Education, Katie Jenner, said the state celebrated numerous successes in 2025; “from unprecedented growth in third grade literacy, to improved chronic absenteeism, to today, the second consecutive year of record breaking graduation rates. These represent just a few examples of the momentum that exists in Indiana today and the opportunity ahead to continue improving for Indiana students.”
