The John Glenn School Corporation has announced that for the 2024-2025 school year, it has achieved a 100% graduation rate, with all 163 seniors earning their diplomas.
The announcement states that this marks the third time in the past four school years that the high school has achieved a perfect graduation rate.
According to the release, this milestone is the result of a K-12 initiative designed to help every student cross the finish line. The initiative focuses on tenants such as early literacy and foundational skills during elementary years, academic and behavioral support while students are in middle school, and help for high school students that includes course pathways, tutoring, credit recovery, counseling services, and career and college planning.
Superintendent Christopher Winchell said, “This is an incredible honor for John Glenn High School, but it is even more meaningful as a reflection of who we are as a school corporation. A 100% graduation rate doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because our staff relentlessly supports students, our students rise to expectations, our families stay engaged, and our community believes in our schools. We’re proud of this class, and we’re grateful for the collective effort it takes to help every student succeed.”
John Glenn High School Principal Mr. Chris Manering echoed that sentiment, emphasizing the communitywide effort behind the milestone. “I could not be more proud of all the stakeholders in the John Glenn community for this tremendous achievement. It truly takes a village to get a child to the finish line, and this is an accolade for our entire community,” Manering said. John Glenn High School has maintained a 99% graduation rate since 2022, highlighting sustained success with perfect graduation rates in 2022, 2023, and 2025.
The announcement ends with John Glenn School Corporation extending their sincere appreciation to every student, school employee, parents, and community member whose partnership contributes to student success. They state that from classroom instruction and support services to transportation, food service, custodial care, safety teams, coaching, extracurricular sponsors, and community organizations, this accomplishment represents a shared commitment to students and their futures.
