According to a press release from the Knox Mayor’s Office, Mayor Dennis Estok would like to remind Knox citizens that it is time to purchase or renew 2026 dog tags for dogs that live within the City of Knox.
The release states that a collar and city tag can save a pet’s life by ensuring that if they do get lost, it is easier to reunite them with their owner.
All dogs within Knox City limits must have a tag, and the announcement notes that the ordinance is duly enforced.
The annual tag fee is $5.00 per dog, and is available at the Clerk-Treasurer’s Office inside Knox City Hall. At the time of renewal, a current rabies vaccination certificate is required.
The renewal date for dog tags is March 31st.
