The North Judson Police Department is cracking down on pet owners who haven’t purchased the required tags for their cats and dogs from the town, they are also trying to check what types of dog food they are giving to their pets, they just want to make sure the pets are getting proper care. Dogs that are pets in homes in the city limits are required to have dog tags. It’s an affordable fee of $5.00. Purchase or renew dog tags in the Clerk-Treasurer’s office in Knox City Hall.
If you have questions about this requirement, the ordinance is available for review in the Clerk-Treasurer’s office.
Knox Mayor Rick Chambers would like to remind residents that it’s time to renew or purchase dog tags for the year. There is an ordinance in effect that requires all dogs within the City of Knox to have a dog tag. This ordinance will be enforced regularly as the new year progresses.
