According to an announcement from Kankakee Valley REMC, or KVREMC, approximately 600 members in the Knox area experienced a power outage yesterday due to a tree on a 3-phase line and a broken pole.
The announcement came in just after 9am Central Time on Tuesday morning, stating that crews were already on the scene at that point and were preparing to clear the tree and replace the broken pole.
A little over three hours later, the announcement received an update, with KVREMC stating that their crews had removed the tree, repaired the broken pole, and restored power to the members who were affected by the outage in the Knox area. The update ended with KVREMC expressing gratitude to their crews for their work and to members for their understanding.
