The Starke County Surveyor’s Office has announced their schedule of office events throughout 2026, including an ongoing photo contest this month for their Facebook cover photo.
An announcement made earlier this week shares that they are looking for local citizens’ favorite winter-themed photos of the area, as part of their photo contest.
From now through February 11th, those wishing to enter can leave a comment on the Starke County Surveyor’s Office post announcing the contest, with the winter photo they would like to enter into the contest.
The poster must be the original photographer, and AI-generated images are not allowed. The photos do not have to be from this year, but they do need to have been taken in Starke County. Photos must be submitted by 11:59pm Central Time on February 11th.
After submissions close, the Surveyor’s Office will create a post featuring the entries, and followers will be able to vote on their favorite photo for a 48-hour period. The photo that receives the most votes during that time period will become the cover photo for the Starke County Surveyor’s Office Facebook page for one month.
The Surveyor’s Office plans to host multiple events throughout the year, including coloring contests, donation drives, a scavenger hunt, and a booth at the 4-H fair in June.
