An announcement from the Starke County Sheriff’s office made yesterday states that golf cart permits are now available for county residents for 2026.
The relevant ordinance and application for a permit can be found online at starkecountysheriff.com/index.php/forms. A map of approved roads for golf carts can also be found there.
Applications are also available in person at the Sheriff’s Department, located at 5435 East State Road 8 in Knox, and can be returned there in person or by mail.
There is a $25 fee for a golf cart permit, and the Sheriff’s Office requests that citizens picking up their permits bring the exact amount of money because they do not keep change.
