
The Knox-Center Township Fire Department reports that on February 2nd around 8:40am Central Time, the department was dispatched to the intersection U.S. Highway 35 and County Road 200 South in Knox.
The report was a traffic accident with unknown injuries.
Coming directly from another incident, Engine 10 responded and found a 3-vehicle accident at the scene.
The report states that both the crew from Engine 10 and Starke County EMS workers began working to stabilize the most critical patient.
Rescue Engine 10 arrived on scene shortly after and began assisting with extrication of the patient. With the help of multiple crews, the patient was able to be extricated from the vehicle in under 10 minutes, at which time Starke County EMS began providing Advanced Life Support care. The patient was transported from the scene with serious injuries.
Knox Center Fire Department reports that Starke County EMS, Starke County Sheriff’s Deputies, Knox Police Officers, and Pitstop Towing all also responded to the scene.
