Northern Indiana Public Service Company, or NIPSCO, announced yesterday that it will be hosting a series of meetings with the public across Northwest Indiana.
NIPSCO states that these Community Customer Care Centers will be an opportunity to respond to customer concerns about rising utility costs, listen to customer input, and provide transparent information.
The event will require customer sign-in, but attendees can make their way through the Customer Care Center at their own pace, visiting stations that explain rates and delivery charges, provide customer service, and give information about finding energy assistance.
There will also be stations covering energy efficiency, advanced metering infrastructure, and community and data center projects.
There will be three events across the region in the coming weeks, with all taking place from 4-7pm Central Time:
- Monday, February 23rd at the La Porte Civic Auditorium, 1001 Ridge Street in La Porte
- Tuesday, February 24th at the Porter County Fairgrounds, 215 East Division Road in Valparaiso
- Monday, March 2nd at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center, 6600 Broadway in Merrilville.
The meetings come in the wake of increased public scrutiny regarding price increases and an investigation launched by the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) in November 2025.
March 2nd is the deadline for NIPSCO to file its formal testimony and evidence in the investigation.
