
The Starke County Commissioners will hold a regular meeting this upcoming Monday, March 2nd.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5pm Central Time and will take place at the Starke County Annex Building, located at 53 East Mound Street in Knox.
Following vendor and payroll claims, as well as the approval of minutes from their February 17th meeting, the Commissioners will hold a public hearing on an Economic Development Land Swap Agreement.
At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Treasurer will speak with Commissioners regarding office space, followed by the Assessor speaking on VPN remote access.
Commissioners will have a discussion on the policy for FOIA (or Freedom of Information Act) requests.
Policy regarding some expenditures will also be discussed with Department Heads before the 3rd reading of a Section Corners’ Ordinance with the Surveyor.
An insurance agent will speak with Commissioners in regard to cyber insurance renewal, and Planning Commission will discuss 3 zoning ordinance amendments.
After any other business that may come before the board, the meeting will be adjourned.
