The Starke County Planning Commission shared public notice Tuesday that it will hold a public hearing on February 25th on administrative items.
The hearing will take place at 5:30pm Central Time at the meeting room of Starke County’s Annex 1 building, located at 53 East Mound Street in Knox.
After the meeting is called to order and the agenda and minutes from last meeting are approved, the public hearing will begin.
The hearing will be in regards to proposed ordinance amendments that relate to the Planning and Building Department’s administrative structure, job titles, and job descriptions.
All interested parties will have the opportunity to be heard at this public hearing. Written statements may also be submitted prior to the hearing, and will be included in the official record.
The Plan Commission also initially announced a second public hearing on Tuesday, for proposed draft ordinances on Battery Energy Storage Systems and Commercial Solar Energy Systems. That hearing was announced for February 18th, but shortly after the announcement, it was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts.
Agenda items from the cancelled meeting are set to be moved to a later date that is still to be determined.
